NuCanoe Solutions added to our Product Lineup... and More!!

Before I get to the NuCanoe news, I just had to share some unsolicited feedback from David, our first HooDoo Impulse 120 customer that I received via text yesterday:

"I've seen a couple YT videos talking to you at ICAST. Congrats. I have loved mine on the impulse. Best mod I've bought". David then went and posted similar message to YouTube video. THANK YOU DAVID!! I needed that encouragement!

David's public comment can be seen here in the comments section of this video:

Now, back to NuCanoe: NuCanoe customers started reaching out just prior to attending ICAST 2024 in July. That really motivated me to figure out an easy mounting solution for the Frontier 12, F10, Unlimited and U10 for starters. I had a chance to take a break from our booth and make my way to the NuCanoe booth.

Here we are two months after ICAST and this is the result:

  • A new mounting group designed and released for the Unlimited and U10. The mounting group assembly document has been loaded to our product support page. Here is the link if you are interested: https://www.wilderside.life/_files/ugd/c3cd30_32271b68396440759f09842b853d4c1c.pdf.

  • A new mounting group is released for the Frontier 12. I had a chance to personally test this mount on a family trip to Wisconsin in August. I even added a trolling motor to the crossbar and connected a tow rope to the mounting solution. We had great fun!! I'll share more about this in a future article. And yes, if you are wondering, I flipped the crossbar upside down to make room for the trolling motor transom mount bolted to the Freedom Launcher crossbar. A bit of a hack.. but super easy for casual users to both steer and control power on the kayak. As you can see, I also added a tow rope anchor wrapped around one leg of the Freedom Launcher mount. Two people on the kayak plus towing a floaty with an adult and two kids... everything worked out really well - no issues!!

Since then, I flipped the crossbar for a conventional orientation and did two launches nearby and posted them on YouTube. One was my first-ever mudflat launch using the beach tires. It went pretty much as expected and was successful.

As a result of these commercial offerings, we are pleased to announce some FIRSTs!!!

  • First Unlimited version of Freedom Launcher® heads to a customer in Virginia Beach!

  • First U10 version of the Freedom Launcher heads to a customer in Massachusetts!

  • First Frontier 12 version of the Freedom Launcher heads to a customer in Texas!

Yes, we are super excited to have these new NuCanoe owners added to our fellow customers. I can't wait to get their feedback on how their systems are working!! And hoping for some great pictures too, if they'd be generous enough to share!

In other news: our second customer from Cabot, Arkansas ordered a Freedom Launcher for this Hobie PA 14 360 with powder coated black legs. It's going to look something like this when it is all put together!!

If you have hung on until now, THANK YOU!! I know I should do more frequent, shorter updates... my area of improvement so noted!

Hope you all are enjoying some late summer fishing and adventures!

Tight lines, all.

David
