Mike lives within five miles of the ICW in North Carolina and likes to fish the creeks and surrounding waters. He recently added the Freedom Launcher landing gear to his Native Titan X 10.5 and he and his wife set out to record his first launch.
"I've been kayak fishing about 20 years. With other systems, you have to lift or tilt the kayak on the ramp to install the wheels. With the Freedom Launcher, I drop the wheels while floating and just walk up the ramp. This kayak is heavy. It weights about 150#. Now with the Freedom Launcher, it moves as easy on land as it does on the water."
"Well, the pictures didn't turn out like I thought. We went to a nearby kayak/canoe launch. It was busy and I got photobombed as I was launching the Titan X so we really didn't get good pictures. You've hit the sweet spot with this Freedom Launcher."
We are excited to be receiving so many positive reviews about how the Freedom Launcher is making the launch process easier for our customers - some who are in their 70's or 80's.
Also, during ICAST we had a chance to meet and be interviewed by Chuck Earls from the USA Kayak Fishing team. My dream trip to be guided by Chuck on a Lake Erie fishing trip!!
We also had a bonus of getting to go fishing with Carlos, a tournament fisherman we met through Ozello Keys Marina. Carlos took Jeff and me fishing Monday after ICAST. Here are a few shots of us out in the Gulf. Fishing was great -- catching not so much.
Tight lines!
David
